Open House

Turn the key in the front door — and step into the new home.

A housewarming invitation you walk into. Guests turn the brass key and the teal door swings open; then a change-of-address postcard crosses out the old flat, a dollhouse lights up room by room with the plan for the day, moving boxes open on the story of the house, paint chips fan out the colours, a to-do list ticks itself off, the mailbox gives directions, the doorbell RSVP rings, notes stick to the fridge beside magnetic letters — and every window lights up at the end.
